  • 2 packs (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 ½ cups cold milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Decorations:
  • Gummy worms
  • Milano or rectangular cookies for tombstones
  • Candy pumpkins
  • Green coconut flakes or colored sugar
  • Edible gel pens or melted chocolate for writing “RIP”

Instructions

  1. Prepare pudding: In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Add vanilla if desired.
  2. Fold in whipped topping until creamy and smooth.
  3. Crush cookies into small crumbs to resemble dirt.
  4. Layer cups: Add cookie crumbs to bottom, then pudding mixture. Repeat layers, ending with cookie crumbs on top.
  5. Decorate: Insert a cookie tombstone, write “RIP” with edible gel, add gummy worms and candy pumpkins, sprinkle green coconut for grass.
  6. Chill cups for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Prepare the cookie crumbs and pudding ahead of time. Add decorations just before serving for best texture. Keep chilled in the fridge for up to 3 days. Customize with peanut butter, pumpkin spice, or whipped cream ghosts for variety.
